Former Detroit Mercy guard Jayden Stone announced his decision to join the Mountaineers for the upcoming season on social media Tuesday evening.
The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 20.8 points in 26 games this past season while shooting 42.2% from the field and 31.2% from three. He also had three games where he scored over 30 points. His scoring average was 22nd highest amongst all players in the nation, and second highest in the Horizon League.
Stone set a career-high in points this past season against Robert Morris, scoring 36 points in 49 minutes.
This will be the third school that Stone plays for, as he began his college career at Grand Canyon before transferring to Detroit Mercy. He spent two years with both schools and has one year of eligibility remaining.
