West Virginia guard RaeQuan Battle was invited to a pre-draft workout with the Portland Trail Blazers ahead of the 2024 NBA draft in June.
Battle spent just this past season with the Mountaineers under former interim head coach Josh Eilert. He spent his first two years in college at Washington, before transferring to Montana State for two more seasons, then transferring to WVU for a fifth-year.
Battle missed a handful of games at the beginning of the season due to being ineligible because of the NCAA’s multi-time transfer rules, but played in 22 games for West Virginia, all of which he started. He averaged 16.1 points, four rebounds and a steal per game. He scored 29 points in his first two games of the season against Radford and Toledo, which were tied for his season-high.
The NBA Draft kickoffs off on June 26th, with the second round on June 27th.
