WVU junior Max Green’s historic golf season was recognized once again on Saturday, this time by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
The GCAA named its PING All-Region teams this weekend, and on the All-Midwest Region Team, Max Green made the cut. He is the third Mountaineer in team history to do so.
Green shined recently at the NCAA Regionals, placing sixth among all individuals with a one-under-par score. WVU placed third in the invitational under Green’s leadership.
WVU Golf’s season is coming to a close this week, as the Mountaineers play in the NCAA Championship through Wednesday. The team tees off for the second day of competition on Saturday at 4:50 p.m. ET.
