West Virginia baseball begins their journey in the Big 12 Tournament this week, as they face TCU in the first round.
The Mountaineers are looking to avoid a repeat of the last two seasons, where they went a combined 0-4 in the tournament.
WVU finished fourth in the league standings this year with a 19-11 record, and that is where their odds are to win the tournament are. Bet Rivers has WVU at +650 odds to win it all down in Arlington, which is fourth-best in the league.
Regular season champ Oklahoma is at +350, followed by Texas at +450, and Oklahoma State at +500.
WVU faces a TCU team on Tuesday who they just took two of three games from in a tightly contested three-game series. If the Mountaineers were to win, they would earn a day off on Wednesday, vastly improving their chances at making a run in the tournament. If WVU were to lose, they’d play in an elimination game on Wednesday.
