Jordan McCabe will stay at Green Bay as assistant coach despite new head coach hire

Former West Virginia basketball player and assistant coach Jordan McCabe is still set to coach the Green Bay Phoenix men’s basketball team this season.

Green Bay initially hired McCabe on April 29 as a member of Sundance Wicks’ coaching staff. Wicks announced he was leaving Green Bay for Wyoming on Sunday, briefly putting his coaching staff in limbo.

Now, as radio talk show host Doug Gottlieb takes his first coaching job, McCabe will stay with the Phoenix as assistant coach. McCabe coached WVU under interim head coach Josh Eilert last season.
