Jonathan Powell, a top-125 recruit in the 2024 class, has committed to West Virginia according to Joe Tipton of On3Sports.
Powell, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Dayton, Ohio, was previously signed to Xavier but requested a release from his National Letter of Intent last week.
In his most recent season at Centreville High School, Powell averaged 19.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.
Powell is the No. 28 ranked shooting guard prospect and became the sixth transfer player for the Mountaineers this offseason.
