The Big 12 is going to have 20 conference games for men’s basketball next season, according to Kansas head coach Bill Self.
Michael Swain of 247Sports reported that Self said that the league is moving to 20 conference games, adding that the Big 12 meetings were last week in Arizona, likely confirming the move.
The Big 12 is set to lose Texas and Oklahoma next summer, but they are adding Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah. Prior to this season, all teams played a round robin home-and-home, 18-game league schedule. This season there were 18 league games, with not every team playing every other team twice.
West Virginia men’s basketball will be under first-year head coach Darian DeVries next season.
