As first reported by On3, former West Virginia guard Kerr Kriisa has committed to Kentucky, after entering the transfer portal earlier this cycle.
Kriisa, a 6-foot-3 guard, originally from Estonia, spent this past season with the Mountaineers after previously spending three seasons with Arizona. After being suspended the first nine games of the season due to receiving impermissible benefits while at Arizona, Kriisa averaged 11 points, 4.7 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 23 games, all of which he started. He shot 42.4% from three and scored a career and season-high 25 points in an overtime loss to Kansas State on Feb. 26.
Like many other former Mountaineers, Kriisa entered the transfer portal after the announcement of the Darian DeVries hire. He will spend his final year of eligibility with the Wildcats, who finished 23-10 last season and were the third seed in the South region of this year’s March Madness tournament.
