Rising senior Dontez Fagan completed his journey to Division I football on Sunday, announcing his commitment to West Virginia.
WVU is the fourth landing spot in the former Charlotte 49er’s collegiate career. After being redshirted in 2019 and gaining a year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Fagan played one season at Central Oklahoma then transferred to Independence Community College in Kansas before his 2023 season for Charlotte.
Fagan is now West Virginia’s fourth and most senior defensive back on the roster. He had 21 tackles, including 16 solo tackles, with Charlotte last season.
