WVU officially has its first high school tight end prospect joining the team in 2025.
6’7″ Jackson Accuardi from DeForest Area High School in Wisconsin announced his commitment on X Saturday to the West Virginia Mountaineers. In the post, Accuardi said he intended to be at WVU for the next three-to-four years.
West Virginia sent Accuardi an offer in November after a conversation between him and tight ends coach Blaine Stewart. Accuardi selected WVU over several out-of-state options, including Michigan State and the Big 12’s incoming Colorado Buffaloes.
At 6’7″ and 225 pounds, Accuardi is decently mobile, due in part to his role as a starting forward for DeForest’s basketball team.
Accuardi is ranked the class of 2025’s fifth best tight end in Wisconsin by 247 Sports and is ranked 56th in the nation. He is expected to be one of six tight ends on West Virginia’s 2025 roster and is the sixth commitment from his class.
