The conferences announced the annual scheduling alliance’s matchups and schedule on Thursday, and West Virginia will once again participate as a host school. The Mountaineers play coach Ed Cooley’s Georgetown Hoyas, who finished 9-23 last season.

West Virginia’s game tips off on December 6, the third day of Big 12-Big East Battle competition. It is one of two matchups scheduled for that Friday, with the other being played at TCU between the Horned Frogs and Xavier.
