University of Illinois Chicago transfer Toby Okani has committed to West Virginia.
Joe Tipton of On3Sports first reported the news of Okani’s commitment.
Okani, a 6-foot-8 senior guard started his career at Duquesne before transferring to UIC before his junior season. This past season with the Flames, Okani averaged 11.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, two blocks, 1.9 assists per game and 1.5 steals per game.
Okani made visits to LSU, St.Bonaventure and West Virginia since entering the transfer portal and ultimately chose the Mountaineers. Okani joins former Illinois teammates Amani Hansberry and Sencire Harris as well as Drake transfer Tucker DeVries in transferring to WVU this cycle. With the NCAA no longer penalizing multiple-time transfers, Okani will be eligible to play for WVU immediately.
