Sencire Harris, a guard transfer from Illinois has announced his commitment to West Virginia on Sunday in an Instagram post.
Harris, a 6-foot-4 sophomore from Canton, Ohio, was a former four-star recruit in the class of 2022. He redshirted this past season, but in 2022-2023 as a freshman, he played in 33 games for the Fighting Illini, starting seven, averaging 3.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and just under an assist a game.
Harris visited WVU this weekend and has strong ties to new Mountaineers’ associate head coach Chester Frazier, who joined head coach Darian DeVries’ staff after being with Illinois since 2021. Harris joins Tucker DeVries as the second transfer to commit to West Virginia this cycle. Harris has three years of remaining eligibility.
