Darian DeVries has only been at West Virginia for about a month now, but he has started to put together some pieces on his new staff of the West Virginia Men’s Basketball program.
Basketball analyst, Jeff Goodman reported that a source told The Field of 68 that West Virginia has put together five members of its staff thus far: former Illinois assistant coach Chester Frazier, former Nevada assistant coach Kory Barnett, DOBO Trent Michaels, former Drake assistant coach/director of player development Nick Norton, and former Oklahoma State director of player personnel Nelson Hernandez as general manager.
The addition of Barnett is new and that now puts five members on DeVries’ staff. That does not fill out the five-member coaching staff that the NCAA allows, as at least one of these members will not be in an on-court role, allowing DeVries to add another member or two to his staff.
