West Virginia in contact with ECU forward transfer

Ezra Ausar a forward transfer from East Carolina is in contact with WVU he told On3.

Ausar, the 6-foot-8 product of Atlanta averaged 11 points, 4.7 rebounds and an assist per game this past season for the Pirates, starting 24 of the 32 games he played this season.

He put up similar numbers in his freshman season last year averaging 9.8 ppg and 5.3 rpg, shooting over 56% from the field.

Ausar has also heard from Arizona State, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Seton Hall, Utah and Virginia Tech, among others. With the Mountaineers losing big men Akok Akok and Jesse Edwards due to eligibility as well as Josiah Harris, who entered the transfer portal, they are in need of help down low and have reached out to Ausar.
