Drake transfer Atin Wright to visit WVU on Friday

Atin Wright, a guard transfer from Drake is visiting West Virginia on Friday, he told The Portal Report.

Wright, a junior, played under WVU head coach Drake DeVries at Drake last season after transferring from Cal State Northridge, where he spent three seasons. This past season he played and started in all of the Bulldogs’ 35 games, averaging 14.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game, while shooting over 40% from the arc.

With a large number of roster spots open for WVU due to players graduating and others transferring, most recently Pat Suemnick on Wednesday, they look to begin to fill out their roster. The transfer portal closes on May 1, but players can transfer/sign to schools at any time if they enter the portal before then.
