As he prepares for the NFL draft, West Virginia wide receiver Devin Carter underwent a core muscle procedure last week per Adam Schefter.
Carter spent his final season of eligibility with the Mountaineers in 2023 after transferring from NC State. He caught 27 passes for 502 yards and two touchdowns with WVU.
According to Schefter, Carter will rehab for the next 4-6 weeks but “should be ready for rookie mini-camp” per his source. The 6-foot-3 receiver was a participant in the Hula Bowl as well as the Big 12’s conference-wide Pro Day.
The 2024 NFL draft will take place April 25-27 in Detroit. Round 1 will be on the 25th, rounds 2-3 on the 26th and the remaining rounds (4-7) on the 27th.
