On Friday, the West All-Stars defeated the East All-Stars in the 2024 National Association of Basketball Coach’s DI All-Star Game, which showcases some of the best college seniors across the nation, 87-75.
Center Jesse Edwards, who spent this past season with West Virginia, was one of the seniors selected to play in the game and was a part of the West All-Stars. In the game, he scored eight points, shooting three-of-five, with nine rebounds, two blocks and an assist in 16 minutes played.
Edwards, a fifth-year senior, previously spent four seasons at Syracuse before transferring to WVU prior to the 2023-2024 season. He dealt with a fractured wrist that he sustained in a Mountaineers loss to UMass on Dec. 16, 2023, but in 23 games Edwards averaged 15 points, eight rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.2 assists per game, shooting over 60% from the field. He scored a season and career-high 36 points in West Virginia’s senior night loss to TCU.
