WVU lands two 2025 recruits including three-star in-state ATH

On Thursday, Thomas Barr and Zah Jackson from the class of 2025 verbally committed to play football at West Virginia.

Barr is listed as a 6-foot-3, 290-pound on 247Sports interior offensive lineman from Haverford, Pennsylvania and is currently unranked. He also had offers from Lafayette and UMass.

Jackson is a 5-foot-10 ATH from Huntington and is ranked as the No. 1 recruit in the class of 2025 from West Virginia and the No. 68 overall CB on 247Sports, where he’s rated a three-star recruit. Jackson plays running back, cornerback and is a kick/punt returner for Huntington. This past season, his junior year, he had 1,104 all-purpose yards and 12 rushing touchdowns offensively and 33 tackles (22 solo), six pass deflections and two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown.

Jackson received multiple DI offers having had Liberty, Mississippi State, NC State and West Virginia in his top four before ultimately committing to play for the Mountaineers.
