MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (April 4, 2024) – The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and the volleyball team, in conjunction with the Big 12 Conference, released the 2024 conference schedule on Thursday afternoon.
West Virginia will host nine league matchups inside the WVU Coliseum, as well as nine matches on the road.
With the addition of Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah, the Mountaineers will face off against 15 league opponents. Additionally, each squad will play four teams twice and ten opponents once.
The Mountaineers kick off league play at home, facing Cincinnati at the Coliseum in Morgantown, West Virginia on September 25.
Next, West Virginia will have a road swing of three matches, beginning against Iowa State on September 28 in Ames, Iowa. The Mountaineers will then travel to UCF to face off against the Knights in Orlando, Florida, on October 2. The squad will complete the road series with a trip to Houston, Texas, to take on the Cougars on October 4.
West Virginia then returns for two home matchups against Kansas and Kansas State on October 10 and 13, respectively. Additionally, the Mountaineers will compete against UCF at the Coliseum on October 16.
The Mountaineers go on to face new league opponent, Colorado on October 23 in Boulder, Colorado.
Next, West Virginia returns home for one conference match versus Texas Tech on October 26.
The squad will then head to Kansas to battle Kansas State on October 31 in Manhattan, Kansas, followed by a trip to Lawrence to face off against Kansas on November 2.
West Virginia then travels to Cincinnati on November 7 to battle the Bearcats in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Then, the Mountaineers will square off against Arizona State and Arizona inside the Coliseum on November 14 and 17, respectively.
West Virginia closes out road conference play versus Utah on November 21 in Salt Lake City, followed by a match at BYU on November 23 in Provo, Utah.
The Mountaineers then return to Morgantown for a pair of home games to conclude the regular season. West Virginia will battle against TCU on November 27, followed by a matchup with Baylor on November 29 at the Coliseum.
