WVU contacts freshman transfer from Maryland

Maryland freshman transfer Jamie Kaiser Jr. has heard from West Virginia, he told Portal Updates.

Kaiser is a 6-foot-6 forward originally from Burke, Virginia and averaged 4.4 points and two rebounds a game in 33 games at Maryland, playing an average of 19.6 minutes per game.

Kaiser was recruited by Bob Huggins’ staff back when he was in high school and had the Mountaineers as a top choice but ultimately chose Maryland. Since entering the transfer he’s heard from over 15 schools including Boston College, Charleston, Oregon State, Pitt, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech.
