WVU Baseball lost two of the three games against Oklahoma State this weekend and they are feeling it in the Big 12 standings.
The Mountaineers start Monday in fifth place in the Big 12, as they are 5-4 in league play. WVU entered the weekend in the top three of the conference standings.
Oklahoma got swept by non-conference foe Lamar, but still are atop the standings at 7-2 in Big 12 play, with both those losses coming to West Virginia.
Behind them is a two-way tie for second place between Texas and Kansas State who are each 6-3 in league play after the Longhorns took two of three from the Wildcats this weekend.
Kansas sits in fourth place as they swept BYU on the road and are set to welcome West Virginia this upcoming weekend.
Following the Jayhawks is West Virginia and Oklahoma State who are both 5-4 in the Big 12. Games one and two were in the balance, with game one ending 2-1 in favor of Oklahoma State, before the Cowboys took a 1-1 tie to extra innings, before taking the series in game two.
UCF is 6-6 in Big 12 play, while the remaining six teams are sub-.500 in conference games. TCU was able to rise up the standings, as they swept Houston this weekend.
