Former WVU assistant Jerrod Calhoun is expected to be hired as the next basketball coach at Utah State, according to multiple reports.
Calhoun has spent the last seven seasons at Youngstown State, compiling a 118-106 record as well as back-to-back 20-win seasons for the first time in school history.
Calhoun has a lot of WVU ties, serving on former head coach Bob Huggins’ staff as the director of basketball operations as well as an assistant coach. Calhoun was also the head coach at Division II Fairmont State where he had current Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla on his staff. Calhoun was on WVU’s staff when West Virginia reached the Final Four in 2010.
