West Virginia shortstop JJ Wetherholt is set to return next weekend against Kansas.
Kendall Rogers of D1Baseball said Wetherholt is going to return next weekend, when the Mountaineers travel to ace the Jayhawks.
Wetherholt is considered one of the top MLB Draft prospects and was named Big 12 Player of the Year last season. He has played in only four games for the Mountaineers this season, not seeing game action after Feb. 19 against Stetson.
He has four hits in 13 at-bats this seasons, after hitting .449. WVU has been fine without Wetherholt, as they have won each of their first two Big 12 series against BYU and Oklahoma.
