On Saturday, former West Virginia quarterback Will Grier signed with the Philadelphia Eagles on a one-year deal per Adam Schefter.
Grier spent the 2023 season with multiple teams after getting released from the Dallas Cowboys in the preseason. He first signed with the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad before signing to the New England Patriots active roster, where he was then waived and later picked up off the Patriots practice squad by the Los Angeles Chargers.
Grier was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, 100th overall after spending two years at WVU where he threw 7,354 yards and 71 touchdowns.
