In December, West Virginia Director of Athletics made a promise.
That promise was if WVU’s NIL Trust Country Roads Trust reached 1,500 members, he would take a mayonnaise bath similar to what football head coach Neal Brown took after WVU’s win in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl.
This then turned into a fundraiser for WVU Children’s Hospital, as every $500 raised turned into a jar of mayonnaise added to be poured onto Baker.
Wednesday marked the day for Baker to experience the mayo bath, and he did so in partnership with Duke’s Mayonnaise, as well as the WVU Children’s Hospital. While the mayonnaise part raised just over $10,000, there was over $850,000 raised for the WVU Medicine Children’s Mediathon.
