The Big 12 men’s basketball tournament will begin on Tuesday with West Virginia receiving the No. 14 seed where they’ll take on No. 11 seed Cincinnati.
The Mountaineers finished the regular season 9-22, which is the most losses in a season in program history and have yet to win a game away from the WVU Coliseum (0-13).
WVU is 1-1 against Cincinnati this season, defeating them 69-65 in late January at home before suffering a sizeable loss on Saturday 92-56. The programs are .500 against each other all-time with a record of 11-11.
The winner of the game will take on No. 6-seeded Kansas, where if they advance they’ll take on No. 3-seeded Baylor in the quarterfinals.
Tip-off for Tuesday’s game is set for 3:00 p.m. EST at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. The game will be streamed to ESPN+.
