JJ Quinerly is back in West Virginia’s starting five after dealing with a knee injury that kept her sidelined for the majority of the second half in the Mountaineers’ victory against TCU last Saturday.
Quinerly exited against TCU and did not return, being seen with ice on her right knee while on the bench, after colliding with teammate Kylee Blacksten early in the third quarter. She ended with 14 points, two steals and a rebound in 19 minutes.
This season the shooting guard is averaging 19.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. She was recently named a top-five candidate for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award and the Big 12 first-team while winning the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year Award.
The Mountaineers tip-off against Cincinnati at 9 p.m. EST in their first game of the Big 12 tournament. The game will be streamed to ESPN+.
