The West Virginia baseball team will kickoff Big 12 play with a three-game series against BYU at home.
The Mountaineers are 7-6 this season, after splitting series’ with Stetson, Charlotte and most recently Western Kentucky, while taking a game from Canisius in their home-opener, last Wednesday. JJ Wetherholt could make his return to the lineup for WVU, after being out with a grade one hamstring strain he suffered in West Virginia’s opening series with Stetson.
As for the Cougars, they are 6-5 this season and have won four straight after taking a single game from UNLV on Tuesday and having swept Gonzaga over the weekend. BYU is led by freshman designated hitter Kuhio Aloy, who is hitting .342 this season with 13 hits, three homers and eight RBIs.

The series will begin with the first pitch at 3 p.m. EST on Thursday, with the same start time on Friday and will be wrapped up starting at 1 p.m. Saturday. All games will be streamed on ESPN+.
