West Virginia men’s basketball finishes off their home slate on Wednesday night against TCU.
WVU is honoring six seniors before the game, and they are 11-0 at home against TCU all-time.
Our staff predicts the game:
Wesley Shoemaker: The last three games for WVU have all been close games and there seems to be a sense of urgency about them compared to previous games. I think there will be inspired play throughout, and the ugly ending to Saturday’s loss to Texas Tech will leave a bitter taste in the mouths of the Mountaineers. West Virginia played on TCU’s terms in these two teams’ first meeting and I think this game will be played on WVU’s terms Wednesday night. Senior night, possibly the last home game for Josh Eilert, and an 11-0 record against the Horned Frogs all-time at home. West Virginia gets it done and picks up win number 10 on the season.
West Virginia 76, TCU 71
Patrick Reneau: It’s senior night for the Mountaineers with TCU coming to the Coliseum. For many it’s their last home game in the the old gold and blue. With that being said I think those in their last game will be determined to end their tenure in the Coliseum on a positive note. This game gives me the vibe of one where West Virginia just can’t miss at all. I think RaeQuan, Jesse, and Kerr will all finish with double digit points and a win.
West Virginia 82, TCU 71
Ryan Roddy: Coming off a game where they crumbled in the second half and had trouble kickstarting their offense losing their third-straight game West Virginia hosts TCU on Wednesday for Senior Night. The Horned Frogs have lost back-to-back games, but defeated WVU by 16 points in their meeting last month. In that game TCU forced 19 Mountaineer turnovers and shot the ball much more effectively. However, West Virginia plays their best at home, but I still predict they’ll be unable to come out winners at the final buzzer, with Emanuel Miller getting it done for TCU.
