With the NBA and G League’s All-Star break coming to a close, with games resuming Thursday, let’s take a look at former Mountaineer Erik Stevenson’s stats halfway through the season.
Stevenson went undrafted in the 2023 NBA draft but signed as a free agent with the San Antonio Spurs, playing in the Summer League for them. In four Summer League games, Stevenson averaged 8.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
Stevenson didn’t make the Spurs NBA roster but has been playing for their G League affiliate the Austin Spurs.
In 19 games played and 11 games started with Austin, Stevenson has averaged 10.5 ppg, 3.8 rpg and 2.1 apg in an average of 21.2 minutes per game.
In 2022-2023 with West Virginia, the 6-foot-4 guard started in all of the Mountaineers’ 34 games, averaging 15.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg and 2.5 apg, shooting 37.9% from three. He also previously played at South Carolina, Washington and Wichita State.
Stevenson was part of Best Virginia in 2023, WVU’s alumni team for the TBT tournament, which he could rejoin this summer.
