West Virginia’s Country Roads Uniforms were ranked third among all bowl game uniforms.
Uniform Authority, a popular account on social media which looks at uniforms for sports teams, ranked the top bowl game uniforms for the 2023 cycle of games. They ranked their top 10 uniforms, and WVU’s was third. They were only behind Michigan’s uniforms in the Rose Bowl, and Oregon’s uniforms in the Fiesta Bowl.
WVU wore their Country Roads Uniforms twice this season, and they were 2-0 when they wore them. They debuted them against Pitt in the Backyard Brawl, and then wore them in their 30-10 win over North Carolina in the bowl game.
The uniform features a gold jersey with ‘Mountaineers’ written across the front, as well as the main roads of the state of West Virginia going through the numbers. The helmet features the West Virginia state outline as well as the flying WV in the middle of it.
