After an 81-65 loss to TCU on Monday, West Virginia interim head coach Josh Eilert gave an update on Noah Farrakhan and Kerr Kriisa, who both went down with two minutes remaining in the game.
“First impressions, you talk to the trainers, it doesn’t seem like it’s nearly as bad as it probably looked in person. I was a little worried with Noah (Farrakhan),” Eilert said.
Farrakhan went down awkwardly, with an apparent ankle injury. He had four points and a rebound before being helped off the court.
“Kerr (Kriisa)’s had his shoulder injuries that he’s fought over the course of his career. So whatever happened with that screen is concerning,” Eilert said.
Kriisa was also helped off the court after scoring 13 points, with four assists, three rebounds and two steals in the loss.
“But Noah’s issue doesn’t seem to be nearly as bad as what it probably looked on the floor. I was worried that maybe that was an achilles or something like that, the way he went down. But hopefully it’s just an ankle and then a light ankle sprain and hopefully we can work through that this week,” Eilert said.
