Former WVU women’s basketball player signs training camp contract with WNBA team

On Thursday it was announced former West Virginia women’s basketball guard Kysre Gondrezick signed a training camp contract with the Chicago Sky.

Gondrezick started her collegiate career at Michigan and then transferred to WVU, playing in 59 games from 2018 to 2021, starting in 56 of them.

In her career with the Mountaineers, Gondrezick scored 1,011 points, with 227 assists, 192 rebounds and 93 steals.

She averaged 17.1 points per game with West Virginia and was selected No. 4 overall by the Indiana Fever in the 2021 WNBA draft.
