Jesse Edwards and Quinn Slazinski to return to starting lineup for WVU vs Cincinnati

West Virginia’s starting five is getting another shakeup against Cincinnati on Wednesday, with the additions of Jesse Edwards and Quinn Slazinski.

Jesse Edwards is back in the starting lineup for West Virginia against Cincinnati for the first time since Dec. 16. Edwards would suffer a fractured right wrist that day, and made his first return to the court this past Saturday.

Edwards had started every game of the season prior to his injury and is back in WVU’s starting five after he played 16 minutes off the bench against Oklahoma State.

Edwards shakes up what has been a consistent lineup over the last two weeks. Interim head coach Josh Eilert has certainly experimented with his starting lineup, and said yesterday he was unsure if Edwards would play his way into the lineup.

WVU’s starting five vs Cincinnati is:

Kerr Kriisa
Kobe Johnson
RaeQuan Battle
Quinn Slazinski
Jesse Edwards

Edwards is still working his way back to 100 percent and still has a wrap on his right hand. In addition to Edwards is Quinn Slazinski, who has started 14 games this season for the Mountaineers.
