BPI, KenPom, and Vegas, Predict Cincinnati vs West Virginia

On Wednesday night, West Virginia men’s basketball welcomes Cincinnati to the WVU Coliseum as the Mountaineers look to break a two-game losing streak.

West Virginia heads into Wednesday night’s contest at 7-13 on the season, and 2-5 in Big 12 play. Cincinnati is 14-6 on the year and 2-2 in conference play.

The Bearcats head into Wednesday fresh off a 68-57 win over UCF this past Saturday. They are 2-4 in games away from home this year, with five of those six games coming on the road, and the other at a neutral site. All seven of West Virginia’s wins have come at home this season.

Cincinnati is ranked No. 32 in the NET Rankings, while West Virginia is ranked No. 151. This is a Quad 2 game for WVU and a Quad 3 game for UC.

KenPom gives WVU a 27 percent chance to pick up a victory on Wednesday night. They predict the final score will be, 74-67 Bearcats. Vegas’ betting odds as of Tuesday night listed the Bearcats as a 3.5-point favorite. ESPN’s BPI gives WVU a 23.5 percent chance to win on Wednesday.

Six of UC’s games have been decided by five or fewer points, while WVU also has six such contests.

Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. from the WVU Coliseum, with the game set to be televised on ESPN+.
