West Virginia women’s basketball returned to the AP Top 25 Poll, as they went 2-0 this week.
The Mountaineers beat Houston and Cincinnati this week, and in both games, their opponent was shutout in the first quarter.
WVU checked in at No. 24 in the rankings, receiving 78 total votes. The Mountaineers are one of four Big 12 teams ranked, with Kansas State being the highest ranked Big 12 team at No. 4.
West Virginia is 16-2 on the season, and are on a three-game winning streak since dropping two games in a row. One of those losses was on the road against Iowa State, a team the Mountaineers will face next this upcoming Saturday at the WVU Coliseum.
