West Virginia wide receiver Devin Carter accepted an invite to the 2024 Hula Bowl in Orlando, Florida.
The Hula Bowl is an annual all-star college football game that features college football seniors showcasing their skills in front of professional football teams’ scouts. The game was previously played in Hawaii from 1946-2008, then again in 2020 and 2021 before relocating to Orlando in 2022.
The game is played at FBC Mortgage Stadium, home of the UCF Knights. West Virginia got their fifth win there in late October this season 41-28, where Carter caught three passes for 47 yards.
Carter transferred to West Virginia for his final season of eligibility this past season, after five seasons at North Carolina State. He finished with 27 catches for 501 yards and two touchdowns in 2023.
West Virginia has had players participate in the Hula Bowl in the past. Including, DB Alonzo Addae in 2022, WR T.J. Simmons and OL Michael Brown in 2021, LS Rex Sunahara in 2020, DL Johnny Dingle in 2008, and QB Marc Bulger in 2000 amongst others.
Kickoff for the 2024 Hula Bowl is set for noon (EST) on Saturday, Jan. 13 at the FBC Mortgage stadium in Orlando. The full rosters will be announced at a later date.
