The West Virginia Women’s Basketball team has risen up one spot in the AP Poll this week from No. 25 to No. 24.
West Virginia has started the season out 12-0, their best start to a season since the 2017-18 season and their fourth-best start to a season in program history.
The Mountaineers went undefeated in nonconference play then began Big 12 Conference play this past weekend, where they went on the road and defeated Kansas 85-60.
Other Big 12 teams represented in the AP Poll include Baylor at sixth, Texas at 10th, Kansas State at 11th, and TCU just right ahead of West Virginia at 23rd.
This week, West Virginia will play host to Cincinnati on Wednesday, January 3, then host to No. 10 Texas on Saturday, January 6.
