West Virginia men’s basketball closes out non-conference play when they head to Cleveland to face Ohio State on Saturday night.
This is one of three games being held at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, as WVU’s 7 p.m. tip-off against the Buckeyes concludes the night.
At 1:30 p.m., is Ohio vs Davidson, and then at 4:00 p.m., it is Akron vs St. Bonaventure.
Ohio State is off to a 10-2 start and is 3-0 in neutral site games this season. Ohio State’s two losses have come at home against Texas A&M, and on the road against Penn State. The Buckeyes currently rank No. 28 in the NET, meaning this will be WVU’s second Quad 1 game of the season.
WVU is 0-3 in neutral site games this season, with their most recent loss being against UMass on Dec. 16.
Saturday’s game begins a stretch of six games for WVU, where four of them will be against teams ranked No. 28 or better in the NET Rankings.
This will be the 18th all-time meeting between both schools, with the series dating back to 1940. WVU has won the last three matchups in 2008, 2010, and most recently, in 2019.
Saturday’s game is set to be televised on FOX, while there will be a radio stream available on the Mountaineer Sports Network.
