West Virginia Basketball’s RaeQuan Battle earned Big 12 Player of the Week and Big 12 Newcomer of the Week for his performance this past week.
Battle had to fight to become eligible to play for the Mountaineers this season, but when he did, he made the most of it. He scored 29 points in each of his first two games of the season against Radford and Toledo, with his 29 points against Radford being a program record for a Mountaineer debut.
West Virginia is set to take on Ohio State in the Legends of Basketball Showcase in Cleveland on Saturday, December 30, with tipoff set for 7 p.m.
