West Virginia Soccer’s Marcus Caldeira and Yutaro Tsukada earned some national accolades today from College Soccer News and College Sports Communicators.
Caldeira was named a First-Team All American by College Soccer News, while Tsukada was named to the second team. Caldeira was also named a First-Team Academic All American by College Sports Communicators.
Caldeira becomes the first Mountaineer to be named to the All American first team since 2006, and the seventh such selection in program history.
He also became the seventh First-Team Academic All-American in program history. Off the field, he has a 4.0 GPA while majoring in finance.
Marcus Caldeira tied with Tsukada for the team lead in goals with 12 apiece. Yutaro Tsukada led the team with 33 total points, which was sixth-most in the NCAA.
