TJ Crandall, a defensive back formerly of Colorado State, announced he will be transferring to West Virginia on Monday.
Crandall had 19 total tackles (13 solo), two pass breakups and an interception this season as a freshman for the Rams.
The six-foot-one, 185-pound product of Sammamish, Washington is a well-needed addition to West Virginia’s secondary. With three years of eligibility, Crandall will have time to learn the system and improve as a Mountaineer if retained.
Crandall held multiple power four offers but narrowed his final two choices down to UCLA and WVU, ultimately choosing the Mountaineers.
