Jesse Edwards expected to miss four weeks with fractured wrist

Jesse Edwards will miss the next four weeks, interim head coach Josh Eilert announced on Monday.

Edwards sustained a fractured right wrist in WVU’s loss to UMass on Saturday, and he will have surgery this week. Edwards has started every game for the Mountaineers and is averaging 14.8 points and 8.7 rebounds per game this season.

The four-week timeline, would have Edwards return around Jan. 15, 2024, meaning he will miss around six games, and return approximately against Texas on Jan. 13, or Oklahoma on Jan. 17.
