West Virginia football added defensive back Ayden Garnes, he announced on Friday.
Garnes is a transfer from FCS Duquesne, and he finished this season with 78 tackles (43 solo), four interceptions, a forced and recovered fumble, one touchdown and half a sack.
When the Dukes played the Mountaineers, Garnes had three tackles and a pass defended.
Garnes helps WVU add depth where they need it the most on the back end of their defense. West Virginia was depleted their depth wise and they also lose a lot including Beanie Bishop as he is out of eligibility. Garnes visited WVU this past weekend, and he held offers from Cincinnati, Indiana, and Tulane, among others.
