No. 21 WVU gets second straight Big 12 win in victory over N. Colorado

The Mountaineers defeated Northern Colorado 31-9 on Sunday in their second Big 12 win in Colorado this weekend.

The match started with a bang for West Virginia, with No. 25 Jett Strickenberger upsetting No. 6 Stevo Poulin 11-6.

The Bears would take the lead after the 133 bout, however. No. 32 Dominick Serrano earned a technical fall (19-4 2:52) over Davin Rhoads of WVU.

No. 22 Jordan Titus achieved a major decision at 141 and No. 28 Ty Watters pinned his opponent at 149 to put West Virginia up 13-5.

At 157 No. 10 Vinny Zerban scored an 8-0 MD over No. 28 Caleb Dowling, scoring the last points of the match for N. Colorado.

No. 29 Brody Conley, No. 24 Dennis Robin and No. 28 Austin Cooley all scored decisions at their respective weights, while No. 12 Peyton Hall earned a TF (19-0 3:55) at 165 and heavyweight Michael Wolfrgram got a MD.
