NCAA “reconsidering” RaeQuan Battle’s waiver according to Josh Eilert

In the press conference following a 66-60 WVU win over Drexel, West Virginia interim head coach Josh Eilert was asked about the RaeQuan Battle situation to which he said the NCAA would reconsider.

“You can bring new information to the table and try to ask for a reconsideration,” Eilert said. He says WVU will be going that route.

On Tuesday, Battle posted a 2:22-minute video to X pleading to the NCAA. The video has now been viewed over 2.6 million times.

On top of that, Battle filed a legal complaint and was one of the student-athletes included in a multistate suit vs the NCAA filed by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost on Thursday. West Virginia AG Patrick Morrisey has also been involved.

“Reconsideration is in play,” Eilert said. “It’s up to them (NCAA) what they do with it.”
