Former West Virginia commit enters transfer portal

Justin Benton had verbally committed to play for West Virginia until right before signing day last year.

Benton decided to play at Houston, but today, he entered his name into the transfer portal. Benton played in only four games this season, preserving his redshirt. He had four total tackles and a TFL this year.

In high school Benton comes from Georgia, where he had 42.0 total tackles, and 3.0 sacks in eight games played his senior year.
