WVU loses former WR transfer to portal

As first reported by 247 Sports, Senior receiver Ja’Shaun Poke entered the transfer portal on Monday.

Poke enrolled at WVU in January of 2023 after transferring from Kent State, and he caught two passes for 11 yards against Duquense but otherwise saw little to no action for the Mountaineers.

At Kent State, Poke had 81 receptions for 1,033 yards and five touchdowns. Poke becomes the fourth WVU wideout to enter the transfer portal along with Jeremiah Aaron, Cortez Braham Jr. and Davis Mallinger. He has one more year of eligibility remaining.
