Hoppy Kercheval reported that on WVMetroNews’ Talkline West Virginia athletic director Wren Baker said that Neal Brown will return as head coach of the Mountaineers next season.
In five seasons at WVU, Brown has a cumulative record of 30-29. In 2023 the Mountaineers finished the regular season 8-4 and will soon be competing in a bowl game.
Brown is expected to make $4.1 million next year with a buyout set at $12.7 million.
